The Author

Robert J. Peterson made up his first stories as a kid with a pencil and notebook paper. Over the years, he started writing fiction formally, and he fell in love with the novel at an early age. He completed his first novel at the end of college. He's written five more since then, with many more to come.

His other novels include the action-comedy DEVIL'S JUKEBOX (sort of THE STAND meets SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT); the ISLAND CIRCUS CYCLE, which includes two novels: REVIVAL THEATER THUNDERDOME and COUGAR CLINKSCALES' ISLAND CIRCUS; book two of the Deadblast Trilogy, THE REMNANTS; and the young-adult sci-fi action novel OMEGABALL.

He grew up in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, and although the unusual world of the Deadblast Trilogy doesn't look like anywhere he's ever lived, Robert's love of small towns lurks in the background of THE ODDS, which is about many things, including the intersecting rivalries and grudges found in small-town life.

A graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, he co-founded the pop-culture emporium CC2K. He's written for newspapers and websites all over the country, including the Marin Independent Journal, PerformInk, Space.com, the Telluride (Colo.) Daily Planet, Gridiron Goddess, CC2K and Geekscape.net. He's appeared as a pop-culture guru on the web talk show Comics on Comics.

As a screenwriter, he has two completed works. He's also done some script polishing.

In addition to his writing, Robert is a graphic designer and web developer who specializes in open-source technologies like Joomla, Wordpress and Drupal. He designed this website himself, using Joomla as its CMS. As a designer, he has built postcards, business cards, logos and many other websites. He would also love to design more mood boards for motion pictures.
